I’ve been away due to serious medical reasons, but “I’ll be back!”

I’m so sorry, dear friends and followers, for not explaining my long absence until now, but if you knew (even in detail) what’s been happening, even seeing me, seeing all the medical records and scans, hearing my story, hearing my voice! – you still couldn’t possibly believe all that’s happened. I can’t even believe it, and I’m living it, feeling it, have lost my job over it, am on disability because of it, and my life has changed in ways I couldn’t have imagined as a consequence of it. I haven’t been able to even pick up a camera, much less photograph other than with my iPhone. I can’t keyboard much (this is dictated through a combination of Siri and the accessibility mike on my Mac, and then pasted into this blog after proofing and correcting – and I may have missed some things so please ignore it if I did; part of my gazillion injuries have a lot to do with that, and if there are no typos or grammar errors, that’s because of the 2 hours it took me to dictate and correct this small blog entry. And I had help writing it too, so it didn’t sound incoherent. (The first part of my absence was for a combination of other reasons that took up my time, mostly taking care of an ill family member, and then my dad had fell and broke his neck, then had triple bypass (he;s fine now), and more. But the better part of the last year was because of an accident that caused more damage than I could ever have imagined,)

Anyway, when I can, I’ll share what happened to the extent I’m able. In the meantime, please don’t forget about me! I don’t want to lose my passion for photography, which is one of my many fears since I haven’t been able to shoot in a long time, and I also want to keep sharing my silly but (hopefully) helpful photography tips with you again. So, while I’m working hard to recover from the healing injuries, manage the pain from the both the healing and permanent injuries, and prepare for near-future procedures I’m facing… keep on shooting! (I’ll be back on FB and G+ too when I can.  🙂

  1. Karen, I hope that you are healing. I just read your last blog post and was completely horrified. It has been a long time since we became friends on Facebook and miss you and your wonderful images. My thoughts are with you during your time of healing. Happy Birthday.
